Army Sergeant makes grand saving and wins prize!

STAFF SERGEANT Chris Kirby and his wife Jennifer celebrate their winning of the TFI £1,000 insurance challenge at a champagne reception held in their honour at the Paderborn Army Garrison in Germany. In addition to the fantastic saving in their motor insurance premium they also walked away with the latest Satellite Navigation system as their prize.

Specialist broker to HM Forces TF Insurance Services (TFI) threw down a challenge to see what was the greatest saving they could make for their customers in one single transaction!

Managing Director, Keith Frampton explained: “In conjunction with Groupama we launched a special Forces policy for Service personnel based in Germany some four years ago and with its unrivalled level of benefits it has now established itself as the preferred motor insurance scheme for the Forces to buy.”

Over the years TFI discovered that in addition to the enhanced cover they provided they also found that the premium they were quoting for British Forces Germany was only a fraction of the price other specialist UK companies were quoting.

During the challenge period seven customers each saved more than £1,000 on their annual motor insurance premium and the Kirbys saved a whopping £1,700 on the premium they had been quoted elsewhere.

Staff Sergeant Chris Kirby (37) is with 7 Transport Regiment, Bielefeld and together with his wife Jennifer (32) moved to the Paderborn Garrison from Manchester earlier in the year.

Chris said: “I got a quote from another company and it was far in excess of what TF Insurance quoted me.  They were so easy to get a quote from and within 10 minutes I got an e-mail with my policy details on.  It was a fantastic service. It’s great that I’ve saved this money and won the challenge.  I’m really going to make use of the Tom Tom Sat Nav as I’m going to London to take up Royal Guard duties”

Keith Frampton of TFI concluded: “To ensure fair play we did set some rules for the challenge, one was that customers had to prove that they had a genuine quote from another company and we had to improve on the level of cover they had been quoted on elsewhere, so that we couldn’t be accused of stripping the cover down to reduce the premium.”
